NNO Parade in ConcordiaNeighborhood Night Out Parade August 6th

The parade begins 6 PM at Faubion Elementary school located at 3039 NE Rosa Parks Way.

Bring your bike, trike, or stroller to our decorating station 5 PM in the parking lot at Faubion Elementary school.  A cacophony of musical instruments, kazoos or hula hoops are encouraged to participate!!

The parade will wind down NE 33rd Ave and end at Fernhill Park for our final concert of the season.

chervonaChervona will be our featured band.  Enjoy Eastern-Euro carnival insanity interlaced with Gypsy, Klezmer, and Balkan musical styles.  http://www.reverbnation.com/chervona

 

This unique community event will be fun for the whole family with a focus on community building to prevent crime and fear of crime. National Night Out is held on the first Tuesday of August every year around the country and is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and community partnerships, generate support for participation in local anti-crime programs, heighten community awareness of crime and drug prevention, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
