Concordia Commons
Concordia Commons is a PBOT public street plaza at NE 30th Avenue and Killingsworth Street. Friends of the Commons, a committee of the Concordia Neighborhood Association, helps bring events, activities and community connection to the space. Attend an upcoming event, host an activity of your own or get involved.

HOST AN EVENT IN THE COMMONS
Community members and organizations can apply to host public activities through PBOT’s Community Events in Plazas program. Events without vending are free. Events with vending are also free when hosted by a nonprofit organization, including events organized in partnership with CNA. Fees may apply when vending is hosted by a for-profit business or individual. Additional requirements may apply depending on the event.

PROMOTE YOUR EVENT
Event organizers are responsible for promoting their own events. Once your event has been approved, CNA may be able to help extend its reach in the following ways:
Instagram: Post the event from your own account and tag @cnapdx. CNA may reshare tagged posts to Instagram Stories (not an Instagram Collab post).
Facebook: Create and submit your event post directly to the ConcordiaPDX Facebook group. The post will not appear immediately; a moderator will review and approve the post before it goes live. Please clearly identify the organization or individual hosting the event.
The Commons team may also share events on the CNA website and submit them for the community calendar on the back page of Concordia News. Please send final details and a promotional image at least one week before you would like the event posted the website, or by the 10th of the prior month for possible inclusion in the newspaper calendar (listing only, not an ad placement).
BRING YOUR IDEAS TO THE COMMONS
Have an idea for an event or activity? Interested in volunteering or helping plan programming? Friends of the Commons would love to hear from you. Ideas could include music, poetry readings, storytelling, games, cultural events, dancing, art fairs and other neighborhood gatherings.
The committee meets on the first Monday of each month from 6:30–8:00 PM on Zoom. Contact the Commons team for the meeting link or to share an idea.
