Posted on August 7, 2010 by Gordon Riggs Posted in Archive, Events, Local Businesses

The Alberta Street Business Association (ASBA) presents the 13th Annual Alberta Street Fair, benefiting the Community Cycling Center.

Festival highlights include:
· Three Stages of Live Entertainment
· 150 Assorted Local Market Vendors
· Parade: For the Young and the Young at Heart
· Beer Garden: Featuring some of Portland’s many Microbreweries

The Street Fair will take place Saturday, August 21, 2010 on NE Alberta Street. Make your way to the Alberta Arts District for a day filled with local art, crafts, food, music and a parade! The Alberta Street Fair promises to be an event for the whole family to enjoy.

In addition to a variety of other family friendly activities, the Kids Corner will be located at the corner of 17th Avenue. Prior to the parade, which starts at 2pm, kids can stop by and transform their bikes into proper parade exhibits. Additionally, the Community Cycling Center will feature a station to “take a picture with your bike”.

The parade for the young and the young at heart will begin at the King School on the corner of NE Alberta & 6th Avenue. Anyone can be in parade, to be a part of the line-up, please email kriss@kparnell.com.

Music stages will be set up at 11th Avenue (also the location of the beer garden), 21st Avenue and 30th Avenue. Stages will feature a wide variety of acts throughout the day.

Vendors will line Alberta Street, which will be closed to all traffic, between NE 10th & NE 30th Avenues. There are still some booths available, visit http://www.albertastreetfair.com/alberta-street-fair/vendors/ to reserve your spot today.

Volunteers are still needed; if you are interested, please visit http://www.albertastreetfair.com/alberta-street-fair/volunteers and sign up today.

Gather your friends and family and join us at the Alberta Street Fair! We hope to see you there.

    • Our Plan for 2009
    • Updates on Traffic, Trash & Alcohol
