As the holidays approach, the Concordia Neighborhood Association (CNA) invites neighbors to mark their calendars for one of the first community gatherings of the new year. CNA’s annual Winter Celebration will take place on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. This year’s party will be held at a new location — on the first floor of the University of Oregon Library and Learning Center at 2800 NE Liberty Street. CNA held its Neighbors Night Out on the UO lawn in August, and we’re thrilled to return this winter to make use of their beautiful facility.
This free, family-friendly event will feature light bites from RJ Skillets, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages provided by CNA. Live music from Julie and the Astronauts will set the mood for an evening filled with good food, conversation, and community spirit.
Guests can enjoy cookie decorating, craft projects, and a variety of activities for all ages. Resource tables hosted by Concordia-based organizations will share information on local businesses and projects and a community input board will invite neighbors to share ideas for future neighborhood events, projects, and priorities for 2026.
The Winter Celebration is a highlight of CNA’s calendar, offering neighbors an opportunity to reconnect after the holidays, welcome new residents, and learn more about local initiatives that make Concordia a strong and engaged community.
Volunteers are essential to making this event a success, and help is needed with setup, cleanup, crafts, and general coordination. Whether you can give a couple hours or an evening, your time and energy will make a difference. To volunteer or learn more, contact Cathy at AL4@concordiapdx.org. CNA looks forward to celebrating the season and the spirit of community on January 8th.
