Join SOLVE, the Concordia Neighborhood Association, and community members for a litter cleanup in the Concordia Neighborhood on Saturday, October 9th from 9:00 am – noon starting at the Fernhill Park track.
Help keep our streets clean, enjoy some time outside and do something great for the city we love! Volunteers will check-in, gear up, and then spread out into the nearby streets. Please note that this event is a litter cleanup and will not include graffiti removal.
When: Saturday, October 9th, 9:00 am – noon
Staggered Check In: Event check in will run from 9:00 – 9:30am. Arrive any time during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. The event will end at noon.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at Fernhill Park track (at the corner of NE 42nd Ave and NE Simpson Crt)
Look for SOLVE signs to guide you to the check in tables.
What’s Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes, and long pants. Wear a hat and put on sunscreen if it is a sunny day. Also bring your cell phone, and a filled reusable water bottle. If you bring personal belongings please bring a backpack so you can pick up trash hands-free.
COVID Safety: Masks are required at check-in and outdoors when you cannot keep 6 ft distance.
Restrooms: Public restrooms will be available during this event.

Coffee and lunch provided for registered participants, generously donated by Caffe Vita and Engel & Völkers.
Parking: Parking is be available on surrounding side-streets.
Youth Volunteers: This event is family-friendly and open to kids and adults of all ages. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 can also create their own SOLVE account online. A youth volunteer can attend without their guardian if they print out and bring a signed youth waiver form.
